Istanbul’s Maiden’s Tower, also called the Leander’s Tower, located on a tiny islet near Üsküdar, has been the one of the landmarks of the city for thousands of years. In the course of time, the tower has undergone many changes, until it got its final shape in 1725 during the reign of Ahmed III.

The Maiden’s Tower is a tower lying on a small islet located at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait 200 m from the coast of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey.
